PPE Inspection Checklist

Regardless of which industry you work in, ensure that workers have the personal protection equipment (PPE) they need in order to safely complete their duties. This checklist covers both general and equipment-specific areas that you should examine during your next PPE inspection, including:

• Cleaning and maintenance of communal PPE
• PPE storage
• Worker adherence to PPE policies
• PPE hazard assessments

After accessing the checklist, you can download it into a format that works for you. Once you’ve downloaded it, add new questions that are more specific to the PPE requirements at your facility.

Then, share the inspection form with your EHS team floor managers. You should be inspecting your site’s PPE usage on a regular basis, to ensure that no safety incidents occur due to lack of proper protection.
