Safety Design Review Template
Before making changes to a process, it’s essential to review how the new design impacts the safety of the entire system. This template includes:
- Purpose and design review procedures
- Design review checklist containing 80 questions
- Action item log for both standard and additional tasks
- Change startup signoff section
Because of the impact that modifications to process/equipment can have on EHS outcomes, it’s extremely important to keep a detailed log of all major changes. The purpose of this template is to document the review process from start to finish.
The template provides a relatively in-depth outline that your team can follow. We would, however, recommend expanding on the information provided to create a site-specific resource that includes all the essential details for your operation or industry.
Due to the specificity of regulatory requirements for each industry, there may be additional sections that you want to add.
